For those students with a qualified tuition waiver, Hermiston School District will cover the cost of tuition* and books** for eligible courses that are part of the student’s approved personalized education plan. Approved courses are those that are applicable toward an AAOT, OTM, or career certification and are taken during the student’s junior and senior year. Qualified students must be enrolled full time and on-track to graduate. Sophomores may be eligible for a qualified tuition waiver, however they must show that courses support their personalized education plan and receive pre-approval from administration before registration.
*Hermiston School District will pay the institutions directly after completion (C or better) of each course. In the case of a student earning a D or F, they will be responsible for tuition charges.
**Hermiston School District will provide required books for qualifying students. These materials will remain the property of the school district.
