Forecasting is the most important thing, other than learning, that you do each year. The communication lines that you establish with your counselor are going to be critical to you taking advantage of every opportunity possible prior to graduation. Your counselor and teachers work behind the scenes reviewing your current transcript and grades. They will prescribe the requirements that you need to complete as well as help you determine the electives that you are interested in and will guide you toward your next educational steps. You will receive a packet of information that includes;
During a designated class in the spring you will be meeting with your counselor in the counseling office. You will bring your completed forecast sheet, with a parent signature, to your counselor with any questions or concerns you may have. If your parent(s) would like to participate, they may come to school during your forecasting time and meet with you and your counselor. Once you have completed your forecast sheet you will leave it with your counselor and they will enter it into the computer.
It is our expectation that all students are enrolled full time. Remember if you plan to participate in an OSAA sponsored sport or activity, you must have earned a minimum of 2.5 credits the previous semester and must be enrolled in a minimum of 5 classes for credit.
