Thursday, June 8: All seniors need to be in the Purple Gym by 4:00 p.m.The Graduation Ceremony will start at 7:00 pm in the Toyota Center, 7000 W. Grandridge Blvd. Kennewick, WA 99336. Seniors who are walking are required to ride the bus up to the Toyota Center on the day of graduation.
Toyota Center Policies and HHS Expectations: Balloons, noise makers, strollers, outside food and beverages are not allowed into the Toyota Center; additionally, flowers will not be allowed on the floor with the graduates. The Toyota Center has a clear bag policy. Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” are allowed. Small clutches/purses that do not exceed 4.5” x 6.5” are allowed in the arena. Walk-Through metal detectors are now used for entrance to the building. The Toyota Center is a smoke-free facility, including vape pens and E cigarettes. Lastly, weapons are not allowed into the building.
Thursday, June 8: Transportation for staff, board members, parents and family members who are accessing district provided transportation need to be ready to load the bus at 4:45 from the Main Parking Lot.
Thursday, June 8: The doors to the Toyota Center will open at 6:00 p.m. for parents and families.
Code of Conduct: The Hermiston community and school personnel care about maintaining the dignity and ceremony of graduation. While we want to encourage appropriate celebration of your accomplishments, it is essential to maintain respect for all the participants in the program. Each speaker and individual senior deserve to have his/her moment in the spotlight. Students whose inappropriate actions interfere will be removed from the ceremony.
