Division 22 Standards and Assurance of Compliance
Dr. Mooney talks about Oregon’s Division 22 Standards. The rules every school district must follow to meet state requirements. These standards focus on five key areas: quality learning for all students, aligned systems, community engagement, safe and inclusive schools, and supported staff.

Study Items 

Policy Reviews

The board conducted a first reading of several OSBA-recommended policy updates, including:

IGBHD – Program Exemptions: Requests for instructional exemptions should be submitted to the teacher.

IKF – Graduation Requirements: Adds the Extended Diploma option and removes reference to the International Baccalaureate program.

JFI – Personal Electronic Devices: Aligns district policy with the Governor’s executive order on cell phone use during instructional hours.

Each policy will return for a second reading and board action at the next meeting.
