We’re looking forward to staying connected with you this year. Our goal is to share important updates, upcoming events, and programs for students and families in one easy place. This month’s newsletter includes helpful reminders and events happening across the district.

September 4: First HHS Football Game of Season @ Kennison Field
September 7: Labor Day (No School)
September 11: Salute to Service Game @ HHS Kennison Field
September 14: Regular Board Meeting
September 22: First Day of Autumn
September 28: Start of HHS Homecoming Week

Salute to Service 9/11 Game

2026 marks the 25 year anniversary since the horrific events of 9/11.

Our Hermiston High school football team will be playing in the annual Salute to Service game in honor of the lives lost on that day.

Come out to support at Kennison Field on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 7pm.

All Veterans, Active Duty, First Responders and immediate families get in for FREE.

The first 150 Veterans and First Responders who attend will receive a special edition baseball hat.

No School - Labor Day

There will be no school on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

Enjoy the three-day weekend and we will see students and staff back on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Parent Guidance

Parent Guidance offers 50+ therapist-led courses on child and parent mental health, plus free personalized coaching with weekly 30-minute phone or video sessions with a trained professional.
